I attended TN NORML’s regular monthly meeting last Sunday; it was held at First Unitarian Universalist Church. Naturally, the discussion was on legalization, with an emphasis on medical marijuana. I’ll have a full report on that later, but will say that it was a highly positive gathering that featured Republican (though Libertarian, not mainstream) politicians announcing their support for the passage of medical marijuana legislation. Great to hear.

However, the latest blog by “Radical” Russ Belville, the founder of 420Radio and host of The Russ Belville Show, which airs on GDPR Nashville weekdays at 11 a.m., brought me back to reality a bit. In this red state of ours, many of those who SHOULD be on the side of MMJ and freedom in general, tend to default to old judeochristian prejudices and fears when stakes raise. Russ is a proponent of minding our Ps and Qs and keeping a thought of our public image. That’s the philosophy that runs through his commentary on the rising trend of butane hash oil use and the phenomenon of “dabbing.”

Take a gander and share your thoughts in the comments.
