This Week in Progressive Nashville
Written by Natalie Davis on July 3, 2015
The past week for me, here in Nashville, has been pretty busy.
Lots of work sessions at Starbucks under stormy skies. (Seriously, a LOT of rain!)
Did some volunteer work at Flatrock Coffee on Nolensville Road for mayoral candidate and same-sex marriage officiant Megan Barry.
Giggled at a particularly southern sight at Fat Boy’s BBQ in Antioch (no, I did not have any).
Celebrated marriage equality with friends of all stripes at the Decision Day rally downtown.
Cheered as I drove past a Nashville march to show solidarity with and sympathy for those affected by the terrorist attack that took nine lives last month in Charleston, SC.
Saw the coolest T-shirt I have seen in quite a while.
Drank way too much coffee and decided again that Nashville is a good place with a lot of progressive potential.
