On Saturday, Sept. 5, the Central Labor Council of Nashville and Middle Tennessee, Workers’ Dignity, and Middle Tennessee Jobs With Justice staged the Nashville Labor Day Parade, followed by the annual Workers’ Dignity fundraising festival at St. Edward Church on Thompson Lane. The third annual event featured a march that allowed local progressive organizations and labor unions to show solidarity with Nashville’s working women and men. The picnic that followed continued the call for solidarity and allowed families to come together to celebrate Labor Day with fun and fellowship. The accompanying photos, we hope, show the mission and the good times had.
