On December 25, as is our annual tradition, GDPR will set aside its normal schedule to air a day of holiday cheer. Join us for a memorable way to ring in Christmas and Hanukkah — and a superb soundtrack for your celebrations.
We’ll post the specific schedule in full below, but the day will include diverse and eclectic seasonal sounds, comedy and storytelling, plus old-time comedy and drama classics. Starting at midnight Sunday, GDPR will feature holiday editions of Appetizer Radio, the Stuph File Program, Radio Curious, and eTown along with special shows such as Itzhak Perlman’s Chanukah Radio Party from WQXR, the conscious Caribbean Christmas sounds of WAPJ’s Reggae Explorations, bluegrass and folk Christmas and Hanukkah tunes from WRIR’s Edge of Americana, and Upfront Soul from WERU, which presents funk, soul, jazz, and gospel takes on the holidays. Be sure to tune in to hear classic recordings of the Hollywood film stars we remember from A Christmas Carol, Miracle on 34th Street, Holiday Inn, and It’s A Wonderful Life performing these beloved works for radio.
And the 25th will bring so much more. Don’t miss this special day of diversity and joy on GDPR REVOLUTION99. It will be a sonic gift to you and yours.
