New Program Offerings; Updated Air Schedule

GDPR REVOLUTION99 is excited to announce additions to our broadcast schedule starting this week.

Beginning today, and airing every Monday through Friday at 9 am Central is By Any Means Necessary, an edifying hour of progressive talk hosted by activist and DC  Green Party luminary Eugene Puryear. The program seeks to connect the political, social and economic movements shaping the world around us. With a sensibility informed by movements from Black Power to #BlackLivesMatter with a dash of Occupy, Puryear brings you interviews with insightful and fascinating newsmakers, activists, academics, and more. The show, produced by Sputnik Radio, elevates viewpoints and narratives — often ignored by the corporate mainstream media — that are driving some of the most important changes in the world.

Also joining the GDPR lineup is In Deep with Angie Coiro.  This independently produced, one-hour weekly news/talk and interview program is hosted by award-winning Bay Area journalist Angie Coiro, The show offers  a closer look at news and issues of the week — particularly the important stories that fell through the cracks of mainstream media coverage. Featuring lively, thought-provoking interviews with newsmakers, politicians, and behind-the-scenes notables, Coiro illuminates important issues and the forces shaping the national narrative.  Don’t miss In Deep every Saturday at 6 pm Central on GDPR.

The deepening of our news/talk bench means we needed to make a couple of schedule changes: Progressive news/talk fave The David Pakman Show now will air only in the afternoons, retaining its PM drive time spot at 6 pm Central. Cindy Sheehan’s Soapbox, featuring the outspoken peace and anti-empire activist, will move to 3 am Tuesdays and 8 pm Central on Saturdays. Philosophy Talk now will air once weekly, Sundays at 7 am Central. These changes not only boost our prog-talk quotient, but also sharpen the thematic delineations of our Revolution Saturdays and Arts Sundays. Trust, you’ll want to catch all of these excellent programs and knowledgeable hosts.

We look upon this updated lineup with immense pride, and we hope you’ll tune in regularly, become a supporting member, and encourage your friends and family to become GDPR REVOLUTION99 listeners and supporters as well. With the Drumpf regime looming over us all, we need independent media more than ever.  GDPR, celebrating 21 years serving the 99 Percent, wants to be here to equip you for the resistance by providing progressive news/talk and essential information,  along with educational, activist, and cultural programming. Tune in, turn on, join us!
