Big news: GDPR Revolution99 is picking up stakes from Nashville and returning to our former home, northern New Jersey. The move will take place at the end of the week of October 8.
The best explanation for the relocation: Life in a red state has become too much to bear. And the station, financially, is on the brink of collapse, because the support simply does not exist in Tennessee. So we are hoping to find more opportunities to survive in Summit, NJ, where many more progressives and progressive organizations reside.
That said, this is an excellent time to step up and show your support for our people-focused mission. As we head toward our 23rd anniversary, the challenges we face are massive. The need is great. But the work we do and the service we provide as an independent media source — presenting diverse voices and views for We The People — are more vital than ever. Please help by becoming a Patron; your monthly contribution of any amount you choose will go a long way toward helping keep GDPR Revolution99 on the air and battling back the Trumpists with information, ideas, activism, and culture. And if you represent a progressive organization of any kind, get in touch — GDPR is looking for program underwriting and can be a great means to spread your important message.
The move to New Jersey (and to a new time zone) will mean some adjustments to our schedule, so keep an eye open for that.
We have loved our four years in Tennessee in many ways, but our excitement for returning to the northeast is huge. If you are a listener, we hope you’ll continue doing so. Please share GDPR Revolution99 with a friend. Independent media is an important resource during these dark times. Our job is crucial — be part of the GDPR wing of the resistance.
