Sanders blasts ‘thug’ Putin’s election interference plans

Democratic Party presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) says he is and as president will be anything but an asset to Russia. After being briefed by US official that his campaign, like Trump’s, is being targeted in Russia efforts to interfere in the 2020 US elections, the Democrats’ frontrunner took a stand against the former Soviet Union.


As the cable newser notes, Trump has not taken action against Russian interference in US polling: “[O]nly Sanders has openly rejected and repudiated these Russian attempts to interfere in elections.”
