Thursday night will be action-packed for Nashville progressives. Television is reruns and silly summer fare: Go out and do something that matters. Among the July 23 offerings is a discussion of the new book Undivided, fellowship with fellow libs, and an opportunity to meet Metro Council candidates.

The same day that the world was assaulted by the release of a Kardashian’s book of selfies, its polar opposite, Paul D. Parkinson’s “Unselfish,” hit bookstore shelves. Thank the goddess.
