Quick Altruism Hit: Fight Prostate Cancer with Movember
Written by Natalie Davis on November 2, 2015
Just back from a week with the family in Baltimore and still getting my act together — back to it soon. In the meantime, I need your help. More importantly, those suffering from prostate cancer and their loved ones need your help.
For the past six years, I’ve been involved with the Movember campaign to raise funds for the fight against this horrid disease. My friend Jean Fogelberg, who lost her husband Dan to prostate cancer in 2007, introduced me to the cause. Since then, prostate cancer has become a major part of my overall mission to stop cancer, particularly, lymphoma, leukemia, pancreatic and breast cancer. I simply must battle this evil that targets my brothers. I need to see cancer end. Period. I cannot take any more loss.
So I’m asking for your help, and I’ll ask every day until the war is won. For the 2015 effort, I am trying to raise $1,000 by the end of this month. I am also moving (exercising) each day and displaying myself with a big “mo” (mustache) for the cause. Please: Do some good and donate. Send the Movember effort some money to help save men’s lives.
